Data Operations Specialist (Remote Independent Contractor)

Location: Fully Remote (Maroc)

Project Capacity: Looking for contractors available for up to 40 hours per week (Flexible schedule)

Fees: Paid in USD (Hourly/Project-based contractor rates) - $2.5 - $4 USD/hour depending on assingment

Project Overview

We are seeking independent contractors for freelance Data Entry and Web Research services. This project supports one of the largest cloud computing platforms in the life science industry.

Our Data Operations teams source real-time customer intelligence and high-quality reference data to enable engagement with medical and scientific experts globally. Depending on your specific language skillset and background, your freelance services will be utilized across one of our specialized data streams (OpenData or Link).

As a contractor, you will act as a data researcher, searching the web for public information and curating data assets based on project guidelines.

Scope of Work

● Onboarding & Rules Training: Master specific data capturing rules within an initial self-paced or guided training period (up to 2 weeks depending on project assignment).

● Web Research & Sourcing (Tracks A & B): Independently gather data on key experts, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and associations (identifying degrees, specialties, and professional workplaces). This is the primary focus for Track A.

● Data Verification (Track B Only): Verify and gather data via outreach phone calls. Depending on your project assignment and language skillset, you may be required to perform phone calls at least 50% of the time. (Not required for Track A).

● Quality Standards: Deliver high-quality, accurate data by meeting specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality benchmarks.

● Terminology: Work comfortably with medical terms, professional degrees, and healthcare industry structures.

Language Requirements & Project Tracks

● Core Requirement (All Candidates): High proficiency in English (both reading and speaking) is mandatory for all tracks.

● Project-Specific Tracks (Assigned based on your skillset):

○ Track A (Web Research Focus): Fluency in English is the only language requirement. No

outreach phone calls are required for this track.

○ Track B (Data Verification Focus): In addition to English, professional fluency is required

in at least one of our current target market languages (e.g., Polish, Swedish, Lithuanian,

Ukrainian, Kazakh, Hebrew, Icelandic, Norwegian, Finnish, etc.). This specific track

involves performing outreach of the time.

Other requirements

● Technical Infrastructure (Contractor-Owned): Must utilize your own personal computer/laptop meeting the following minimum specifications:

○ Windows: Windows 10, version 22h2 or newer (e.g., Windows 11)

○ Mac OSX: Big Sur or newer (e.g., Ventura, Monterey)

○ Internet: Reliable, secure connection of minimum 10 Mbps - (https://www.speedtest.net/)

● Data Validation: Proven ability to cross-reference and compare database records from multiple online sources.

● Digital Literacy: Proficient with basic computer operations, file management, and navigating online platforms.

● Software Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Documents & Spreadsheets.

● Information Gathering: Strong web research skills with the ability to efficiently locate, verify, and organize information using search engines (e.g., Google).

● Professional Persona: Fast learner, self-motivated, and capable of delivering independent results within a remote freelance network.

● Experience: Prior freelancing or professional experience in data entry, web research, or a similar data-handling role.

Preferred Freelancer Attributes

● Educational background or prior freelance/project experience within life sciences, healthcare, or medical fields.

● Fluency in an additional European or Asian language is a plus.
