Identifies the specifications and requirements of the tools and recommends revisions in the design or fabrication, materials, and production processes.
Job Requirements
Ensuring high-quality machines with particular specifications by modifying the control speed and the material used and constructing new features as and when required.
Fabricating the parts or a complete tool using a mill or lathe from the tooling prints, blueprints, and product drawings and modifying the tooling to close tolerances.
Monitoring the quality checks, documenting the results of quality procedures, and collaborating with the maintenance team to correct and repair the machines and tools.
Resolving the problems in the mold during production, supporting production equipment and machines to minimize production loss.
What your background should look like
Typically requires a minimum of 2-5 years of related work experience. Requires completion of high school. Vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.
